Idlas, Allan

Allan Idlas, of Algoma, Wisconsin, age 80, died on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay. He was born on October 30, 1929 in New York, the son of the late Jacob and Anna (Tennison) Idlas. On December 21, 1953 in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin he married Peggy Kossow. Allan served his country in the U.S. Army from 1953-1955. He was employed at Kemper Insurance in Long Grove, Illinois, retiring in 1992. Allan enjoyed the symphony, opera, walking and fishing. He loved spending time with family and friends.

Allan is survived by his sons: Paul Idlas, Grayslake, Illinois and Scott (Margaret) Idlas, Appleton, Wisconsin; five grandchildren: Jack, Rollin and Alec Idlas; John and Stephen Idlas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Idlas.

The memorial service for Allan will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME. Rev. Krystal Bartlett will be officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Heart Association are appreciated.
