Bev, Your mom was a heck of a nice lady who enjoyed traveling to see you and seemed to love life and seeing the world so much. I felt privileged to have met her on one of her many visits to CT. She was a real sweet lady with a great sense of humor! Watching the two of you go into laughing fits over little things was so darned funny! I send you my prayers and wish you my condolences on the loss of your dear friend and mother. I know you will really miss her. Let me know if I can be of any assistance to help you make it through the tough times. Your friend always in CT... Mike G.

Bev, So sorry to hear you lost your mother. I feel so bad that we were out of state and missed seeing you again. Your mother is now in a better place and she will now watch over you like you watched over her. The days will get better and easier, I promise you. Always, Patty
Randi Hurkman Van Pelt left a message on April 6, 2009:
So sorry to read about the passing of your mother. Clem and Alice are now together again, dancing up a storm with that great big polka band in the sky. Maybe they can have a couple of "yummy yummies" with my dad! When ever I was in Michigan with my girls and Alice was there too, she would always give them each a dollar for ice cream. When I told them of her death, they both commented on what a sweet lady she was!! Rest well in heaven Alice! We'll miss you! The Hurkman-Van Pelt Family

Bev, My heart goes out to you on the loss of your mother. I will never forgot how hard she and all of us laughed about the story of the "stuffed lobster!" You will always have that funny story to carry in your memory. I know that the days will slowly get less painful for you. You loved her and she loved you and that is all that matters. Our prayers go out to you, Renata and your "adopted" family in CT.
