Alene Eigner, age 95, died on Friday, June 26, 2009, at Peabody Manor in Appleton. Alene was born June 15, 1914, daughter of the late Allan and Myrtle (Wisdom) Clark. She enjoyed playing cards, her retirement years in Hot Springs, Arkansas, painting with her friends when she lived at the Heritage in Appleton, as well as spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by two children: Pat (Steve) Balistreri of Mequon and Jesse (Barb) Kennow of Appleton; eleven grandchildren: Steven (Lisa) Balistreri, Joseph (Karen) Balistreri, Patrick (Donna) Balistreri, Susan (Michael) Jankowski, Anne (Timothy) Tucker, Scott (Chris) Kennow, Jessica (Brian) Bozek, Chad (Kelly) Kennow, Brenda (David) Strebe, Brian (Lynn) Sasman, and Jerry Sasman. She was also dearly loved by her great-grandchildren: Steven, Amanda, and Nick Balistreri; Joseph, Gina, Teresa, and Robert Balistreri; Jack, Grant, Sam, and Lucy Balistreri; Matthew, Andrew, Ryan, Tommy, and Emma Jankowski; William, Patrick, and Lizzy Tucker; Kailey and Riley Kennow; Madelyn and Cameron Bozek; Max Kennow; Sawyer and Spencer Strebe; and Jacob Sasman. She also leaves behind three sisters: Eva, Dorothy, and Lorraine. Alene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lester Eigner, several brothers and sisters, and grandsons Brent Matthew Kennow and Troy Sasman.

Funeral Services for Alene will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at Wisconsin Memorial Park's Little Chapel of the Flowers, 13235 W. Capitol Drive in Brookfield. Fr. Quintin Heck will officiate. Friends may call at the cemetery chapel on Tuesday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Alene's memory may be sent to the American Heart Association.
