May your loss be comforted in knowing that she was such an inspiration to all those she came in contact with. Growing up, I always enjoyed our visits to the farm and seeing how she kept everything in control - the smell of fresh bread baking while all the chores were getting done. I can only imagine what she had to say when she met Jesus and he said “welcome home, you finished the race you fought the good fight” (maybe he asked her to bake some loafs of bread). Please know that you are all in our hearts and prayers.

Dear Bev and family, What an amazingly sad loss for your entire family… Agnes was such a wonderful woman and it was a true honor to know her. Many years back when we had your traditional girls’ weekend in Door County, we were all sitting in the hotel suite, rubbing each others feet, laughing, eating, playing games, and then this beautiful voice… Grandma Smudde started to sing and it was like listening to an angel! I will never forget that beautiful weekend, the time shared with your family and Agnes’ stories that I was able to listen to and learn from. Blessings to you all and may you have peace in your heart knowing that she is in Heaven. Sara Westgor

To Aunt Agnes's Family From Basil and Joan Rueden A nice Memory of Aunt Agnes One hot summer evening in the late 1950's, in the time before air conditioning was in the house, we piled our brood of about 8 kids in their pajamas into the station wagon for a cool ride. We ended up at Basil's Uncle Al and Aunt Anges's farm on Golden Glow Road. Lovely Aunt Agnes insisted we come in and visit. Their girls were teenagers at the time. After much fun and we were all back in the station wagon our oldest girl, Janet, then about 7 years old seemed astounded and said,"Did you see all those babysitters!!!!" Memories are precious and meant to be shared Lots of love, Basil and Joan Rueden

Working on the farm for the summer was something I think back to many times with pleasure. Aunt Agnes was a key part of keeping us fed and busy. It was so nice to see her last summer.
