Aaron J. Dollhausen

July 24, 1971 — September 24, 2013

On Tuesday, September 24, 2013, we lost our beloved husband, son, brother and friend, Aaron J. Dollhausen. Aaron was born July 24, 1971, the eldest son of James and Judy Dollhausen of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and was preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law, Thomas and Charlotte Richards.

Aaron was a loving father to his two step children and two foster children with whom he shared his love of science fiction, education, and his quirky sense of humor. Aaron had a love for drawing and painting and enjoyed expressing himself through art. Aaron's love of history culminated in a degree in History from UW-Oshkosh where he was elected to the Golden Key Honor Society and was a member of the Dean's List. His love of aviation began when he joined the Civil Air Patrol in high school and continued as a member of the Naval Air Reserve and as a fan of the EAA fly-in which he attended for many years with his family. Aaron shared his creative mind with the world through writing fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. As a self-published author he won several awards and received honors for his work.

Aaron is survived by his wife Anna; step-children Jessica (Matthew) Maass and Stephen Veeser; foster children Kyria Navarre and Anthony Poland; as well as grandsons Xavier Maass and Xander Navarre and dog Blue. He is also survived by sisters Christina (Taylor) Selby and Sarah Dollhausen; nephews Nasir Patterson, Clayton and Oscar Selby; niece Assana Haynes; brother-in-law Tom (Kim) Richards; nephew Jacob; and many other family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, October 3rd, 2013 at 11:30 AM at the Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior Street in Appleton. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of the prayer service at 11:30 AM.

Please join us to celebrate the life of Aaron and his reunion with our loved ones who have passed and please bring memories to share during the memorial service.

The family sincerely thanks everyone for their prayers, thoughts, and kind words during this difficult time. His family remembers Aaron's fun, Star Wars loving side as would look at his kids with a mischievous grin, brandishing his light saber saying “May the Force Be With You.”
