Age 77, died Monday evening, February 11, 2002, following a lengthy illness. He was born November 2, 1924, to the late Edward and Linda (Plamann) Ziegler, in the town of Center and had been an area resident all of his life. Bobbie had been a self-employed carpenter his entire working life, retiring in 1992. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, the outdoors, woodworking , golfing, fishing and spending his winters in Texas for the past 15 years. He was a member of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church, the Greenville Lions Club, he served on the Hortonville School Board for seven years and served on the Park Commission and Board of Appeals for the town of Greenville for several years. Survivors include his wife, Ruby R. (Butt) Ziegler, whom he married on May 31, 1947; five children, Steve and Mary Ziegler, Hortonville; Gary and Nancy Ziegler, Greenville; Judy and Bob Young, Neenah; Jim Ziegler and his special friend, Kelly Bricco, Greenville; Tom and Dawn Ziegler, Hortonville; 11 grandchildren, Brian, Andy, Laura and Ann Ziegler; Amanda Schroeder; Jeff and Billy Young; Christy Glocke; Jesse Ziegler; Jennie, Ashley and Mitchell Ziegler; nine great grandchildren, Madalyn and Laurel Ziegler, Alexis and Bryce Young, Alyson and Taylor Young, Colton Glocke, Tyler Ziegler and Jaliana Ziegler; two sisters and a brother-in-law, June and Wallace Maass, Seymour; Lola Jahnke, Kimberly; four brothers and two sisters-in-law, Donald Ziegler, Grand Junction, CO; Kenneth and Lorraine Ziegler, Appleton; Phillip and Beverly Ziegler, Appleton; Fredric Ziegler, Appleton. He was preceded in death by a brother, LeRoy Ziegler and two sisters, Janet Rohm and Carol Ziegler. Funeral services for Robert will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, February 16, 2002, at IMMANUEL EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, corner of School Road and Julius Drive, Greenville, with Reverend David C. Hussman officiating. Entombment will be at Appleton Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 pm Friday and on Saturday at the church from 10:00 am until the time of the service. A memorial fund is being established.
