Yvonne Emma VanLandghen

Yvonne E. VanLandghen, 87, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at Rennes Health and Rehabilitation Center, Appleton. She was born on March 6, 1935, in Kimberly, the daughter of Edward and Eleanore (Tullberg) DeBruin. Yvonne attended and graduated from Kimberly High School, the Class of 1953. She was united in marriage to Paul Fred VanLandghen on May 22, 1954, and they spent 61 years together before he died on December 2, 2015. Yvonne worked as a Kimberly crossing guard on the corner of Washington and Kimberly Ave. for many years. She worked for Appleton Papers (now Appvion), retiring in 1990, and then she went on to work for Younkers for 20 years before finally retiring. Yvonne was very active until the last years, and spoke her mind quite well. She loved painting and firing ceramics, crocheting, reading, trips to the casino, and children.

Yvonne is survived by her 2 sons: Rick (Amy) and Ken (Terri) VanLandghen; 6 grandsons: Adam (Amanda Obrovac) and Mike VanLandghen, Ryan (Stephanie) Homman, Lee (Callie) VanLandghen, Boyd (Molly) VanLandghen, and Ryan Derks; two great grandsons: Ian and Ben Homman; 2 brothers-in-law: Doug VanLandghen and Jack (Ruth) VanLandghen; other relatives and friends.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband, parents; a son: John VanLandghen; two siblings: Carol (Wesley) Braun and Jerome DeBruin; brothers- and sisters-in-law: Dan (Joy) VanLandghen, Bob (Nancy) Van Landghen, Phley (Lloyd) Huss, Roxanne VanLandghen, and Bruce (Marge) VanLandgen.

Memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm, on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at the Jansen Fargo Funeral Home, 204 E. Kimberly Ave., Kimberly. Visitation will be on Tuesday at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until the time of the service.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
