Xavier Alejandro Ibarra Stascak, age 13, of Menasha, passed away on January 20, 2021.
Xavier was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin to Pedro Ibarra Cortes and Lindy Joy Stascak on April 24, 2007. He was a student at Maplewood Middle School in Menasha. Xavier was an excellent fisherman and loved to spend hours by the water. He loved sports and was active in Menasha Blue Jays Football as a kicker scoring numerous points for his team and helping them to many victories. Xavier was a devout Catholic and received his sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Eucharist in 2016 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Menasha. He spent 6 years participating in karate and earned his black belt in 2018. Xavier had an ear for music and was a very talented musician playing the baritone, trumpet, as well as some piano and guitar.
His artistic abilities were very impressive and in his free time Xavier would paint, draw and even make his own fishing lures. Xavier was a very loving and caring individual who was never afraid to stand up for others. His smile was contagious and he was mature beyond his years. He was the best brother and best friend.
Xavier is survived by his father Pedro Ibarra Cortes (Ann Weyers de Ibarra) sister Elysium and brother Danilo, mother Lindy Joy Stascak, brother Jaime, sisters Liliana and Emma, his paternal grandparents, Eloy Eligio Ibarra Torres and Monica Hortencia Cortes Molina, maternal grandfather David Stascak and bonus grandparents Martin (Marcia) Weyers, paternal aunts and uncles Leonor (Fernando) Ibarra Cortes, Rosario (Odilio) Ibarra Cortes, godfather Jonas (Marie) Ibarra Cortes, Enrique (Adelaida) Ibarra Cortes and Eligio (Maria) Ibarra Cortes, maternal aunts and uncles Jennifer Stascak, Alisson (Alan) Frigo, Sara (Derek) Geffers, Aaron Stascak (Victoria Jones), and Michael Stascak, bonus aunts and uncles Ross (Stephanie) Weyers, Philip Weyers and Hayley Weyers (Nick McGee), paternal cousins Mishel, Amairani, Ximena, Monserrat, Daniel, Yenifier, Kely, Dana, Eligio, Natanael, Angel, and Mauricio, maternal cousins Quintin, Madissen, Leif, Margo, and Max, and bonus cousins Layla, Myles, Evelyn, and Juliana, and godmother Deborah Luna.
Xavier is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Barbara Stascak and paternal cousin Rafael Avila Ibarra.
A memorial fund is being established in Xavier’s name.
The family of Xavier wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all of Xavier’s teachers and coaches for their dedication to him throughout the years and for all of the people who have had an impact on his life.
The funeral liturgy for Xavier will be held on Wednesday January 27th, 2021 at 12:00 PM at St. Therese Catholic Church, 213 E. Wisconsin Ave. with Father Ryan Starks officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of services. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Menasha.
