Willy Cavert

Willy Cavert, age 40, died unexpectedly on Friday, July 11, 2008 as the result of a tragic accident. Willy was born in Appleton on April 29, 1968, the son of Fernald and Phyllis (Pranke) Cavert. He was a member of the 1986 graduating class from Appleton West High School and was currently employed by Reetz Recycling.

Willy enjoyed collecting guns, hunting, and fishing. He also had his share of “man toys” and could always be found tinkering with something or another. Everyone who knew Willy will remember his love for sweets, especially “smarties”.

Willy is survived by his parents: Fernald and Phyllis Cavert; two daughters: Krystal and Kala, both of Appleton; a friend of a lifetime: Kari Bundy of Appleton and her daughters Amie and Erin; two sisters: Carolgene (Keith) Henisa of Indiana and Dawn (Randy) Gevelinger of Appleton; a brother: George (Carrie) Cavert of Kaukauna and their sons Mattthew, David, and Daniel. He is further survived by his best friends Dave Reetz, Todd (Monica) Head, Gary (Sandy) Stoffel, Cowboy, and Tracy Rhoden and her children.

Funeral services for Willy will be held at 7:00 PM Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at the funeral home chapel, with Fr. Gerald R. Falk officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 PM until the time of the services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established for the benefit of Krystal and Kala.
