Age 75, passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2001 at Outagamie County Health Care Center. He was born on April 28, 1926 the son of the late William H and Anne (Kahler) Falatick. He graduated from Appleton High School, and attended Lawrence University in Appleton. He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. While living in Fort Lauderdale, Bill spent over 20 years as a self employed real estate developer working on shopping centers, and other commercial properties with projects extending from Florida to Upper Michigan. Upon retirement, he returned to Appleton.

He is survived by his son William D. “Bill” (Carrie) Falatick of whom he is very proud, two granddaughters Carrie (Larry) Bechtel, and Kelly (Troy) Koester, his great grandchildren Bruce and Brandon Bechtel, TJ and Drew Ellen Koester all of Boynton Beach, Florida. Bill is also survived by his beloved Bette Steinhorst, his best friend and caregiver who gave him so much happiness and shared her family for so many good times over the years: Dan and Connie Zehner and their children Matt, Catherine, and Ryan Zehner, and Chris Zehner all of Neenah; Greg and Terry Steinhorst and their children Stephanie and her special friend Dan Matthews, Eric and Allison Steinhorst all of Port Edwards, Wisconsin; Dennis and Mary Jo McAbee and their children Kelly and Ross of Spring Grove, Illinois; Fred and Amy Rathsack and their children Eric, Tim, and Sarah all of Appleton. Bill is also survived by his duck hunting partner of over 20 years Dave Van Eperen, and his good friend Jack Oldenberg with whom he has shared jaunts in and out of the area for over 20 years. He was preceded in death by David T., Frank P.; and Lee G. Bill was grateful and treasured all of his many friendships throughout the years.

A memorial gathering will be held at the Appleton Yacht Club, 1200 South Lutz Drive on Saturday, June 16, 2001 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The family will greet relatives and friends in celebration of Bill’s life. Interment will take place at the Veteran’s Cemetery in King, Wisconsin at a later date.
