Formerly of Appleton and Oshkosh, died Saturday, December 25, 2004, at the age of 60. Bill was born in Collingswood, New Jersey, on March 23, 1944, the son of Elmer L. and Jane M. (Robertson) Ruth. He married Melinda Smith in 2000. Bill was a proud member of the Army National Guard and a Vietnam Veteran. He retired from the National Guard following 23 years of service, at the rank of Master Sargeant, E8. Bill is survived by his wife, Melinda; his mother, Jane; his son, Erin William Ruth; Erin’s mother, Rebecca Ruth; and goddaughter, Aimee Ciske. He is further survived by many other relatives and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his father, Elmer. The funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, December 29, 2004 at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, with Rev. David Brice officiating. Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 29 from 4:00 until the time of service. As an expression of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established.
