William “Bill” Stacker
Appleton

Age 91, passed away July 25, 2001 at Colony Oaks Care Center. William was born on December 29, 1909, in Neenah, son of the late William Sr. and Cora Stacker. On April 19, 1940, he married Verna Shea, and they have enjoyed 61 years of marriage. William owned a mink ranch, and was also employed at Miller Electric Mfg. Co., as a machinist until his retirement in 1975. His hobbies were raising bees and collecting coins. Bill will be greatly missed by his wife, Verna; his daughter, Sherry Stacker; a granddaughter, Connie Ehlert; and two great-grandchildren, Shana and Skyler Ehlert. He is further survived by nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his brother Paul; two sisters, Ruth Stiebel and Millard Younger; and his great-grandson, Korey. The visitation will be held from 4 until 7 p.m. at Highland Memorial Park. A funeral service will not be held. The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Donatelle, the Colony Oaks staff, and Steve Miller for their knowledge and compassionate care of Bill.

It’s always darkest before the dawn. Dawn has begun for Dad.
