William F. "Bill" Arnold

Bill Arnold, age 78, of Appleton, passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2008, at the Franciscan Care Center. Bill was born in Appleton on May 22, 1929, son of the late Fred and Laura (Neuens) Arnold. He resided in Appleton all his life and graduated for Appleton High School in 1947. In 1950, Bill was united in marriage to Betty Rohm, sharing 57 years together. Bill worked at several area businesses during his career including; Art Plating Co., Fox River Paper, Appleton Water Department, Neenah Water Treatment Plant, and Pinkerton Security, retiring in 1994. Bill loved wood working and would create beautiful wood products that are still being enjoyed today.

Survivors include his loving wife, Betty; a daughter and son-in-law: Lisa and Jogindea Singh of the Town of Ellington, a granddaughter: Diane (A.J.) Adams; a great grandson Cole Adams; as well as his neice Deborah Schaeffer of Racine and his nephew Kenneth (Jandy) Arnold of Lake Ozark, MO.

A celebration of Bill's life was held on Thursday, with Rev. Leo Knitt officiating. Interment has taken place at Riverside Cemetery.
