William “Bill” Jerome Schroeder, age 59 of Appleton, passed away at his home on June 1, 2016. Bill was born November 20, 1956 in Ashwaubenon, son of the late Phillip and the late Dolores (King) Schroeder Browning. Bill graduated from Green Bay East High School, St. Norbert College and earned a Masters in Accounting from the University of Iowa. He was a member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church for many years.
In his free time, Bill enjoyed music, the Packers, biking and travel. Bill had a warm and generous spirit. We will miss him dearly, but find consolation in the thought that he is now safe with his Heavenly Father.
Bill was a Certified Management Accountant. He was a Senior Cost Analyst at Kimberly-Clark. In 2011, Bill retired from Curwood, Inc. where he was employed for 19 years in various financial positions including Controller. Post retirement, Bill did private consulting in both Florida and China.
Bill is survived by his three children: Laura Jean Schroeder (lifetime partner Anthony Long) of Green Bay, Phillip Schroeder and Christopher Schroeder of Appleton; one grandchild: Nate Long of Green Bay; two sisters: Eva (Jim) Szymanski of Omaha, Nebraska and Andrea (Dennis) Piontek of Wallace, Michigan; nieces Nicole Tedford of Green Bay, Terri Delforge and Tara Bird of Omaha, numerous great nieces and nephews, and special friend Lou Ann Novak of Sun Prairie. He was preceded in death by his parents and step-father Gene Browning.
A Memorial Service for Bill will be on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at 11 AM at Wichmann-Fargo Tri-County Chapel, 1592 Oneida St., Menasha. Family and friends may visit on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at the Tri-County Chapel from 9 AM until time of Service.
