William “Bill” Emery Lord, age 80, passed away at his home on Saturday morning, February 18, 2023.
Born January 4th, 1943, to Henry and Angeline (Deltour) Lord. He was the 2nd born and had three siblings, Carol, Larry and John. Bill spent most of his life in Menasha, Wisconsin but also a short time in his early days in the Chicago, Illinois area for work.
In his early years, Bill was a member of the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Bill attended FVTC for Mechanical Engineering and held many jobs throughout his career that included: Consolidated Paper, Lenox Candles and managing a couple of gas stations in the 1980’s.
Bill was married to the love of his life, Margaret “Peggy” Lord on August 10, 1963. From a previous marriage, Peggy was a widower and had three young sons (Karl, David and Al), who Bill immediately took in as his own and raised them with Peggy. Two years later, Bill and Peggy had a daughter (Angel) and after that, another son (John), completing their family of seven. In addition to their biological children, Bill and Peggy raised several foster children, and one special foster son (Billy) who remained with Bill until his passing. There was a lot of love and fun times in this household.
Peggy passed away November 17, 2022, and Bill missed her dearly. They were married nearly 60 years and shared an amazing life together. They traveled (South Dakota was one of their favorite travel spots), owned lots of fun cars (Corvettes and Dune Buggies), rode motorcycles and started a coach bus company in 1992 called Lorvel Tours. Lorvel Tours was a family business that ran for 23 years. Bill drove bus and did a lot of the paperwork and Peggy answered phones and baked lots of delicious treats for the passengers of the coach. Lorvel’s claim to fame was running to casinos all over the country, and they had a great time doing it!
In recent years, if you visited Bill and Peggy at home, you would probably find Bill in front of his computer playing some sort of matching jewel-game with a Sci-Fi movie on in the background. He loved to watch his movies and he would constantly be making goofy comments under his breath.
Bill was kind. Bill was funny and witty. Bill was loving and would do anything for his family. He loved his wife, children and grandchildren and we are so comforted to know he is with Peggy again.
Bill is survived by his siblings: Carol Stem, Larry (LeeAnn) Lord, John (Sharron) Lord; his children: Karl (Deanna) Feavel, David (Cathy) Favelle, Allen (Maria) Feavel, Angel (Daniel Hanson) Lord, John Lord and foster/adopted son William “Billy” Froehlich; grandchildren: Eric Feavel, Stephanie (Ryan Derks) Feavel, Tyler Feavel (Stacey Schmidt), Ryan Coopman, Joseph (Tanya) Schuh, Branden (Suzanne) Schuh, Elizabeth (Nick) VanEngen, Brandy (Steve DeGroot) Feavel, Daniel “Danny” Hanson, Rocky (Abbie) Hanson, Amanda (Kevin Chuckart) Lord, Nickolas Lord, Zakory Lord, Sha-Sha (Jun-Jun) Camia, JR Pabilona, JC Pabilona, JJ (Ann Gerodias Pabilona), King Pabilona, (Tayla Johnson); 17 great grandchildren; brother-in-law Bill (Carol) Terrio and so many other friends and family.
Bill was preceded in death by his true love, Peggy Lord; his parents: Henry and Angeline Lord; father- and mother-in-law: Samuel and Margaret Terrio; sisters-in-law: Patricia Palmer Handrich and Dianne Meier; and a grandson Travis Feavel.
