William "Bill" Ewert

Age 64, died Monday, May 10, 2004, at his home. Bill was born on January 5, 1940, in Milwaukee County to the late William and Mary/Ruth Ewert. He married Carla Miller on December 16, 1961, in Waukegan, Illinois. They enjoyed 39 years of marriage; she preceded him in death on December 22, 2000.

For 21 years William and Carla owned and operated Bill and Carla’s Valley Inn, Center Valley, Wisconsin. Survivors include four children, John W. Ewert; Cynthia K. Ewert; Thomas H. Ewert; Laura A. (Tom) Roman; 9 grandchildren and one great grandson; his sister, Marion (Greg) Paiskula; his sisters-in-law, Adeline Miller and Harriett (Larry) Hegelin; and his brother-in-law, Charles Miller. He was preceded in death by his sister, Dolly (Frank) Marman, and his brother-in-law, Zane Miller.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 18, 2004, at ST. JOHN EV. LUTHRAN CHURCH, Highway 47 North, Town of Center, with Rev. Jeffrey Suhr officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Tigerton. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Appleton, on Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again directly at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
