WILLIAM ALBERT MEYER

Age 80, died Tuesday, June 26, 2001 at home. William was born June 26, 1921 to the late Albert and Mary (Baldeshwiler) in Reesburg, Wisconsin. He married the former Marion Gruber on August 14, 1945, in Stanley, WI who preceded him in death. William was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was employed for 36 years at the Fox River Paper Mill until his retirement in 1982. He was also a lifetime member of DAV, Chapter #18 and a member of the Quarter Century Club at the Fox River Paper Mill.
He is survived by three daughters, Carolyn (Gerald) Page of Appleton, Linda (Milton) Page of Hortonville and Susan Ertl of Appleton; four sons, William J. (Sharon) Meyer of Greenville, Albert (Beverly) Meyer of Hortonville, James (Chong) Meyer of Weston, CO and Joseph Meyer of Trinidad, CO; one sister, Elaine Symbal of Thorp, WI; a sister in law, Ceil (Bill) Hanson of Appleton and a brother in law, Jack Gruber of Appleton. He will also be greatly missed by fifteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one grandson, Jeff Meyer and a sister, Katherine Zimmerman.
The Funeral Liturgy will be 9:30 AM, Friday June 29, 2001 at ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 West Lawrence Street, Appleton with Fr. John Holly officiating. Viewing and visitation will be Thursday June 28 at the FUNERAL HOME from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again at CHURCH from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Entombment will take place at Highland Memorial Park.
A memorial is being established in his name.
