Age 76, passed away in Menomonie County on Tuesday, December 3, 2002. He was born to the late Leonard and Leona (Kormer) Schultz in Appleton on August 26, 1926. Bill proudly served in the Merchant Marines during World War II, and had many stories to share about the experience. He worked for the Lawrence University Physical Plant for twenty years, retiring in 1994. Being a friendly and joking person, Bill was known for telling stories and making people laugh. He was fun to visit and loved to play cards with those who did. Bill was also lover of animals, especially his cats.
Bill is survived by two half brothers: Donald (Patricia) Schulze of Appleton and Jim (Judy) Schulze of Appleton; a half sister, Delores (Michael) Demerath of Seymour; special cousins: Genevieve Piette of Appleton and Bonita Kuehnl of Appleton; and special friends Marie Seehafer and Don Gresl, both of Black Creek. Bill is further survived by other card playing friends.
The funeral service will be at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2002, at the Wichmann Funeral Home, with Deacon Pete Reinl Officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
