Age 79, passed away at his home in Menasha on Saturday, October 20, 2007. He was born in Antigo on November 19, 1927 the son of the late Henry and Clara (Kramer) Tenant. Wes was proud to serve in the United States Navy during WWII. On January 5, 1968 he married Vivian Reed. They enjoyed 39 years of marriage. Wes will be remembered for his love of reading and woodworking. He made many items of furniture for his family.

Wes is survived by his wife, Vivian; children: Robert Olson of California, Dianna Olson of West Virginia; Lynn (Peter) Swiertz of Menasha; grandchildren: Jamie (fiance, Michelle) Schultz, Robin Olson, Daniel (Hannah) Knudsen and Crystal (fiance, Ben) Knudsen; great-grandchildren: Josh, Mackenzie, Tabatha, Reilly, Zach and A.J.; sisters: Betty (Rowland) Strasser, Carol Young and June (Ralph) Rennert; and son-in-law, Rickey Knudsen. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Vicky Knudsen; and brother, James (Inez) Tenant.

The memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 27, 2007 at the Wichmann Funeral Home, TRI-COUNTY CHAPEL, with Deacon Maury Reed officiating. A military honor service will conclude the service. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service.

The family extends a special thank you to the nurses in “Chemo;” friends, Heather and Crystal, and the staff at hospice for their compasionate care.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Wes' name is being established.
