LOHRENZ, WESLEY E.
Wesley E. Lohrenz, age 95, formerly of the Town of Ellington, died on Thursday, July 27, 2006, at Wyndemere Estates, Green Bay. Wesley was born on October 14, 1910, in the Town of Ellington to the late Edward and Jane (Laird) Lohrenz. He married Lucille Burmeister on March 31, 1945, in Kenosha; she preceded him in death on March 4, 2002. Wesley was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was well-known for his fun-loving humor and his good natured kidding. Wesley farmed in the Town of Ellington for over 40 years. As a lifelong farmer, Wesley loved animals, enjoyed gardening of all types—especially tending his fruit trees—and was able to fix and repair nearly anything. He was also an active church member. Survivors include his four children, Barb Lohrenz, Anaheim, California; Bill Lohrenz, Appleton; Becky (Russ) Holdiman, Abrams; Mike (Charmaine) Lohrenz, Oneida; his three grandchildren, Colton, Mackenzie and Gabrielle Lohrenz. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Lottie, Fannie, Fern, and Gladys Lohrenz; and his brothers Wilbur and Hank Lohrenz; and his infant twin brother and sister. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a..m. on Monday, July 31, 2006, at CENTER EMMANUEL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, N3896 Hample Road, Black Creek, with Rev. Loretta Waegli officiating. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Appleton, on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and directly at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to all his loving caregivers. A memorial has been established in his name.
