Age 66, died Monday morning, March 5, 2001. He was born April 10, 1934, to Royal W. and Ada (Meitner) King, in Chicago and moved to Appleton as a young child. Scotty had been employed by Simone Engineering, retiring in 1992. Following this he was employed by Omni-Med retiring January 1, 2001. Scotty enjoyed his family, his friends and was a friend of Bill W. He was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Sylvia J. (Lopas) King, to whom he had been married for 47 years; three children, Roxanne (Bill) Martin, Appleton; Jean King and her special friend, Denis Wright, Appleton; Royal (Lisa) King, Appleton; five grandchildren, Colin Martin, Rosanna and Regina King, Mariah and Elora King; his mother, Ada (Meitner) Jerzykowski, Appleton; four brothers, Gerald (Yoko) King, Riverdale, MD; Jimmie (Sheila) King, Tampa, FL; Steven ( Mary) Morlock, Hortonville; Andrew (Patricia) Morlock, Appleton. He was preceded in death by his father, Royal W. King. Funeral services for Wescott will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, March 9, 2001, at FIRST CONGREGATIONAL UNITED CHIRCH OF CHRIST, 724 E. South River Street, with Reverend Jane Weeden officiating. Friends may call at the church from 9:30 am, Friday, until the time of the service. A memorial fund is being established.

The family would like to thank the staff of St. Elizabeth Hospital 2S for their loving care and support.
