Elmer, Wayne F.
Combined Locks
Age 67, died peacefully at home on Sunday May 30th, 2004, comforted by family. Wayne was born December 2nd, 1936 in Green Bay, Wisconsin to the late Melvin and Claretta (Marchand) Elmer.
Wayne married the love of his life, Ruth A. Carson on November 9th, 1957. He earned a degree from Marquette University in 1960 and served his country in the Army until 1962. In 1968 Wayne and Ruth started the Mister Donut chain in the Fox Valley, and were joined in this endeavor by his bother and sister-in-law Gary and Bonnie Elmer. In the late 1980’s and 1990’s the Elmer brothers built and managed shopping centers in Green Bay and New London. Wayne spent most of his adult life as a proud member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London. He was deeply involved in the parish CCD program, delighted in daily Mass, communion with the Lord, and discussions with Fr. Tito.
