Wayne “ Butch” Lawrence Trader, age 71, formerly of Menasha, passed away unexpectedly during a fire at his home of Saturday, May 4, 2019. Wayne was born in Appleton on October 18, 1947, son of the late Lawrence and Genevieve (Terzynski) Trader. He worked in the black top industry that his father owned, and continued to work there once it was sold to Badger Hwy.
Butch loved to work and stayed busy fixing things. Known as the family “Handy Man”; a trait he passed on to his grandson Tanner. Once you got past Butch’s grumpy grandpa exterior, you would find a genuinely kind and loving man.
Butch is lovingly remembered by his daughter: Tina Trader; and her children Christina Trader, Marissa DeGroot, Vance “Vince” DeGroot, and Tanner DeGroot. He is further survived by nine “goobers”: Kendra, Rycker, Rhylee, Katlyn, Rayden, Rhylin, Jakiah, Cielia and Hudson; as well as his siblings, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Butch’s family would like to thank Barb Quella for all her help.
A private family celebration of life will take place at a later date.
