Age 63, died unexpectedly on Sunday, April 14, 2002. He was born in Waukesha, Wisconsin on March 27, 1939 to the late Harold and Mary (Greppi) Buchner, and had been an area resident for over 35 years. Wally served with the United States Air Force for four years, and had been employed by P.H. Glatfelter, Bergrstrom Divison for 35 years, retiring in 2001. He married Theresa (Hooyman) Newhouse on February 9, 1983. Survivors include his wife; two brothers: Allen ''Buck'' (Kate) Buchner of Pembine and Doug Ninneman of Appleton; a sister: Gloria (Ken) Ferguson of Valcan, Michigan; seven step-children: Mike (Jane) Newhouse of Appleton, Cindy (Guy) Van Lanen of Combined Locks, Patricia (Doug) West of Kaukauna, Lora Newhouse of Menasha, Susan (Doug) Korth of Embarrass, Timothy Newhouse of Kaukauna, Joy (Edward) Casper of Brillion; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arthur and Minnie Heck. Funeral services for Wally will be held at 4 PM on Wednesday, April 17, 2002 at the funeral home chapel with Sr. Annette Koss officiating. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2 PM until the hour of the services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
