Wallace C. Stillman

April 28, 1924 — October 3, 2005

Wallace C. Stillman, age 81, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2005 at Colony Oaks Care Center following a lingering illness. Wally was born in Royalton on April 28, 1924, son of the late Emil and Gladys (Buhler) Stillman. During World War II he faithfully served his country as a member of the United States Navy from 1944 until 1946. His faithful service secured his membership in the Combined Locks Post #10544 of the V.F.W. On September 10, 1949, Wally married the former Dolores Speering in Shawano; she survives. For over forty years he was employed by MidTec in Kimberly, retiring in 1987. Wally was a longtime and faithful member of Mt. Calvary Ev. Lutheran Church in the town of Menasha. Many will recall his love for automobiles – over the years he enjoyed caring for the many cars he drove.

Wally is survived by his wife: Dolores Stillman of Combined Locks; a son: Richard (Mary) Stillman of Greenleaf and their children Patrick (Elizabeth) Stillman and Lindsay (Rob) Vander Heiden; a daughter Susan (Todd) Thorson of Germantown and their children Tabitha and Erik; a step-son: Larry (Anna) Timm of Fort Collins, Colorado and their children Colin and Justin; a brother: Eldred (Joyce) Stillman of Waupaca; three sisters-in-law: Dorothy (Ted) Schultz of Spokane, Washington; Marjorie Siebers of Shawano; and Doris (John) Ramaker of Combined Locks; a brother-in-law: Alvin (Fern) Speering of Appleton. Wally was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Marion (Gaylord) Forseth, and two brothers-in-law Fritz Siebers and Ervin Speering.

The Christian Funeral for Wally will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 7, 2005 at ST. LUKE EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 705 Greenfield Drive in Little Chute with Rev. Virgil Hanson of Mt. Calvary Ev. Lutheran Church in Menasha officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call directly at the church on Friday morning from 10:00 AM until the hour of the services.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to the entire staff at Colony Oaks Care Center for the loving care and concern given to Wally during his stay.
