Virginia Irene Braun was born to eternal life, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, November 30, 2006 at the age of 85. She was born July 14, 1921 in Galesburg, Illinois, daughter of the late Earl Vice and Irene (Harbison) Vice Klemp. As a young woman, Virginia changed her maiden name from Vice to Klemp. She worked at many jobs during her life, including a toy factory, Quaker Dairy, and finally as a meter maid for the city of Appleton. A job related injuring forced her early retirement. In her adult life, Virginia and Lloyd lived in Appleton where they raised their children. Following their retirement, the couple resided at Pineland Park in Wild Rose, Kaukauna, and finally in Little Chute. Virginia enjoyed gardening, camping, knitting, playing cards, and feeding the many birds that came to her outside feeder. She loved to bake, and will always be remembered for her delicious apple dumplings. On September 13, 2002, her loving husband Lloyd passed away. All who knew her know how much she enjoyed watching Green Bay Packers.
