Virginia A. Cheslock

CHESLOCK, VIRGINIA A.

Virginia A. Cheslock, age 84, died on April 22, 2008, in Schaumburg, Illinois. Virginia was born on October 16, 1923, in Neenah, to the late Joseph and Goldie (Butler) Frederick. She married Edward G. Cheslock on December 26, 1944, in Neenah; he preceded her in death in 1993. Virginia was the head of the Stenographic Department at the George Banta Company until her retirement in 1985. She lived in Neenah until her marriage to Edward; they then moved to Menasha. The last eight years she lived near her daughter in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, as she declined from Alzheimers. Survivors include her children, Judith A. (Terence) Cahill; William D. Cheslock; and Constance (Gary) Hanstedt; her grandchildren, Ryan (Myranda) Hanstedt, Cara Hanstedt and Brian Cheslock; her great grandson, Nolan Lee Hanstedt; and her brother-in-law, Donald Thorson. She is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Virginia was preceded in death by her sisters, Patricia Vogt Taubert, and Rita Thorson; and her brothers-in-law, Florian Cheslock, Eugene Brazeau, Joseph Vogt, Doug Taubert; and her sister-in-law, Dorothy Cheslock Arndt. Her sister, Rosemary Brazau died on May 29, 2008. Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 28, 2008, at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 North Superior Street, Appleton, with Mr. Pete Reinl officiating. Interment will take place in St. John Cemetery—North, Menasha. A memorial has been established to benefit the Alzheimers's Association, 225 N. Michigan Avenue, Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601
