Besch, Virginia A.

Virginia A. Besch, age 80, of Appleton, passed away Sunday afternoon, August 28, 2005, following a brief illness. She was born October 14, 1924, to the late William and Jeanette (Jackson) Delrow, in Appleton, where she was a resident all of her life. Ginnie married her childhood sweetheart, James R. Besch, on November 22, 1943. She was employed by Appleton Medical Center for 13 years as a nurse's aide. In recent years Ginnie has enjoyed spending time with her Mall Walkers Club. Ginnie also was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed following her team.
She is survived by her husband James R. Besch; a daughter, Linda A. Weber, Appleton; a son Edward W. (Susan) Besch, Appleton; three grandchildren, Andrew J. Besch, and his special friend, Char Wolter, Appleton; Julie L. Besch, Appleton; Brandon L. Schmidt, Appleton; a brother, Donald (Marcella) Delrow, Jacksonville, FL; two sisters, Mary Bremmer, Amherst, WI; Dorothy Arft, Appleton; a sister-in-law, Kathryn Delrow, Kaukauna; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Edward Delrow, and two brothers-in-law, Francis Bremmer and John Arft. Funeral services for Ginnie will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, September 3, 2005, at the funeral home, with Reverend Robert Spurgeon officiating. Entombment will be in Appleton Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9:00 am, Saturday until the time of the service. A memorial fund is being established.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff and physicians of Appleton Medical Center Intensive Care and Respiratory for all the kindness and support.
