Age 94, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2007, at Oakridge Gardens.

Violet was born November 19, 1912, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Carl and Ellen (Carlson) Lindquist. Prior to her retirement, Violet was an excellent seamstress, handcrafting sails for boats, hot air balloons, and decorative awnings.

Survivors include her daughter, Charmion Cihak, of Kimberly, and her son, Robert Cihak, of Neenah, and his children, Jordan and Amanda Cihak; Charmion’s daughter, Laura (James) Ebben, of Waukesha, and their children, Nathan, Hannah, and Thomas Ebben. Violet is further survived by a daughter, Carol (James) Evans, Salem, Oregon, and their family.

Private family graveside services for Violet will be held in Salem, Oregon.

Violet’s family would like to extend their thanks to Oakridge Gardens Nursing Center for their care given to her.
