Viola Christine Bergholz

Bergholz, Viola C.<br>Appleton<br><br>Age 88, called to eternal rest on Friday, April 7, 2006. She was born on March 13, 1918 to Arthur and Lydia (Hildemann) Luebke in Oconomowoc, WI. She graduated from Watertown High School and U.W.-Stout with a degree in Home Economics. She married Rev. Hogey Bergholz on July 5, 1942. They moved to Terry, Montana, where her husband had a parish. Their daughter, Kirsten, was born there in 1944. Viola then moved to Rapid City, South Dakota, in 1945, and in 1947 to the Town of Center and then to Appleton in 1956. Before marriage, she taught at Rhinelander Technical School. After Marriage she taught night classes at Fox Valley Technical School, and was Home Economics teacher at Fox Valley Lutheran High School for 26 years. She retired from teaching in 1983. <br><br>Viola is survived by her Luebke nieces: Heidi Leeds of Madison, Janna Kritz of Minneapolis and Kris McPeake of Shawnee, KA; her Bergholz niece: Lynda Bentley of Green Bay; and many good neighbors and friends. She was preceded in death by her Husband Rev. Hogey Bergholz; her daughter, Kirsten; and her sisters-in-law: Rita Luebke Andrews and Marie Bergholz Bentley.<br><br>The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 10, 2006, at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 North Superior Street, Appleton, with Rev. Ralph Waack officiating.
