Age 76, passed away on Wednesday January 9, 2008 at his home, surrounded by his children and his sister Joan. Victor was born on April 5, 1931 in Madison, son of the late Joseph and Florence (Summers) Marx. On January 8, 1955 he married Rosanne Lauer in Appleton. She preceded him in death on September 21, 2002. Victor was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Korean War. He retired from Menasha Utilities where he worked as a power plant operator. He was a quiet man who touched many lives. He is survived by his children: Joseph (Janeen) Marx, Ohio; Gregory (Lori) Marx, Appleton; Julie Marx, Menasha; Rosanne (Bruce) Rott, Neenah; a sister Joan (Ray) Zweifel, Paoli, WI; a sister, Corrine Fischer, Madison; grandchildren, Jeremiah and Lori Marx, Kyle and Kelsey Marx; Jason (Donna) Cox, William Cox, and Gerald Rott; a great granddaughter, Morgan Cox; and former son in law Robert (Sue) Cox. Victor is preceded in death by an infant son Vincent, two sisters, Florence Oldenburg, and Florence Selje; three brothers, Marvin, Robert, and Harold Haas. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
