Loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, age 85, died on Sunday, April 24, 2005 at Cherry Meadows Hospice. Vesta was born in Fennimore, WI on August 5, 1919, daughter of the late Louis and Mattie (Blanchard) Schwab. She married John T. Green on May 8, 1942. John preceded her in death on April 7, 2001. She and John moved to Florida in 1983 and Vesta returned to Appleton in 2001. Prior to moving to Florida, they enjoyed spending time at their cottage on the Chain of Lakes in Waupaca. Vesta was employed as a beautician and owned her own salon for many years. She was a life member of the Appleton Medical Center Auxiliary. Vesta was very fond of cats and adopted several throughout her years. She especially loved her Siamese cats, Black and Diver. Survivors include her two sons, John L. (Joyce) Green, Apple¬ton; Ronnae P. (Linda) Green, Menasha; six grandchildren: Ryan, Amy (Brooks) Beckhorn, Kevin, Joel, Stacey (Matt) Baughman, Julie; step-grandson, Mike (Vicky) Steinmetz and four great-grandchildren: Brendan, Cameron, Tristan and Garrett. Vesta was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Fred and Mathilda Green. A private service will be held for family and close friends.
