Age 90, died on March 20, 2002, at Franciscan Care Center. Verona was born on November 17, 1911 in Black Creek, daughter of the late William and Rose (Guelig) Kronz. On June 6, 1938, Verona married John Krablien, and they enjoyed 30 years of marriage, until he preceded her in death in 1968. Verona was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, and was very active in church projects. She was employed as a cashier at Treasure Island for 9 years. Verona also co-owned a grocery store with her husband in Fremont, for 18 years.

She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Helen (Thomas) Radtke, Weyauwega, Wisconsin; Betty Lochner and her special friend Robert Endres, Appleton; her son, Robert (Judi) Krablien, Appleton; 2 sisters, Esther Moser, Black Creek; Isabel Jens, Appleton; 8 grandchildren, Kim (Steve) Schueller; Brad (Rachel); Lynn and Tonia Radtke; Kathy (Dan) Armstrong; Paula (Jerry) Lincoln; Jay (Colette) Krablien; Lance Lochner; and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Rose Otto and Margaret Mueller.

The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2002, at ST. BERNADETTE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2331 East Lourdes Drive, Appleton, with Fr. Harold Berryman officiating. Interment will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends will be received at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
