Torvi Sharon-Alice Cotton, Daughter of Luke & Ashley Cotton, born on Monday August 19, 2024 at 3:06pm sadly passed away on August 22, 2024 at 5:07am in the arms of her parents. Torvi was born by emergency C-section and was immediately rushed to the NICU due to complications during labor. She was placed on life support and fought with all her strength for three days but sadly her little body couldn’t hold on. In the short time she was with us she always made sure to hold on tightly to mommy and daddy’s finger with her little vise grips while her pink dragon sat in the corner of the NICU watching over her.
Torvi is survived by her Parents, Luke & Ashley Cotton; her three sisters, Rya, Nasrin and Shyloe and her brother, Jafar. She is also survived by her Grandparents, Dawn & Terrence Goss and Jerry & Gail Cotton. Her Great-Grandparents, Denny & Sharon Gard; and her Aunts, Teeya Goss, Tatiana Goss, Hayley Cotton, and Heather & (Nick) Wanta.
Torvi is proceeded in death by her Great Grandparents, Sharon & Rick Stuck, Betty & William Cotton, Nadine & George Alberg; her Grandfather, Jody Stuck; her Aunt, Tiffany Goss; and her Great-Great Grandparents, Laverne Melander & Amelia Pete; and her adopted Great-Grandmother, Alice Peterson
We would like to give a big thank you to the wonderful NICU nurses at St. Elizabeth hospital in Appleton. Without them we do not know how we would have gotten through this difficult time. We also want to thank her OB-GYN Doctor Christopher Wagner and her NICU Doctor Gary Kummet for doing everything possible to help save Torvi and we can’t thank them enough.
Instead of flowers we ask family and friends to please bring something Dragon related to honor Torvi.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, September 7th, at Wichmann Funeral Home on 537 N. Superior St, Appleton, WI, 54911. Visitation will be from 8am-1pm with the service being conducted at 1pm. Burial will be at Appleton Highland Memorial Park, 3131 N. Richmond St, Appleton, WI, 54911. Torvi will be laid to rest in the interior Mausoleum and services will be conducted by Rick Jacquart.
Dinner will follow the burial service at 3:30pm at Speakeasy Ultra lounge 425 W. College Ave Appleton WI 54911. We ask that guest bring a dish to pass around for dinner.
