Todd A Truesdale

July 28, 1986 — May 19, 2022

Oshkosh

Todd A Truesdale, age 35, passed away Thursday, May 19, at Ascension Mercy Hospital in Oshkosh after a brief illness.

Todd was born July 28, 1986 to Charlie and Marsha (Diley) Truesdale and baptized August 24, 1986 at Zion Ev Lutheran Church Readfield. Todd was an all-around fantastic person from the start. He had a heart of pure gold and always a trick up his sleeve. He obtained his music degrees from UW – Stevens Point and truly enjoyed performing and teaching percussion. He went on to teach primarily at Xavier High School, Neenah High School, Shattuck Middle School of Neenah, Little Chute High School, Oshkosh West High School, Appleton Music Academy, and Ripon College. He loved seeing his students learn and enjoy music. He performed with the Central WI Symphony Orchestra, Manitowoc Symphony, Vento Winds, WI Symphonic Winds, and his hometown band 3 Way Street. Todd was self-employed through Truesdale Drum Works, and in addition to teaching and performing, he also repaired percussion equipment and restored vintage drums. He was a stickler for perfection in his restoration work.

On June 22, 2013, he married the love of his life Hannah R (Simonson) at Trinity Lutheran Church in New London. Thus began their adventure together. Hannah blessed Todd with two beautiful children – Elliotte and Bennett. His family was the most important thing in his life. He loved to build “stuff” and have his kids help. He was a BBQ master and loved to cook. We will miss his tasty meals. He loved to go camping and bow hunt. Todd truly enjoyed his life with Hannah and kids; it was his purpose in life to take care of them.

Todd will be deeply missed by his wife Hannah, children Elliotte and Bennett, parents: Charlie & Marsha Truesdale, parents-in-law: Mike & Anita Simonson, grandparents-in-law: Boyd Simonson and Faith Hallett, brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Matthew and Alisha Simonson, children Addyson, Isaac and Evan, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Todd was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Warren & Mabel Diley, and step-grandmother Phyllis Diley, paternal grandparents: Vernon & Ruth Truesdale, grandmother-in-law Jane Simonson, and grandfather-in-law Glen Hallett.
