TJ Ott, age 58, passed away on July 15, 2018, surrounded by family. He was born on January 29, 1960, to Ray and Jo Ott. TJ was a graduate of Seymour High School and Blackhawk Tech in Janesville. While going to school, he worked for Tracey Seed and for Don and Glady Lang. He then worked on the family farm for a year. TJ was a member of the Kimberly Jaycees, enjoyed Paperfest and going to Country USA. He was also active in 4-H and F.F.A.
TJ married Debra Minten Sept 23, 2005. He retired after 30 years from Van Zeeland Mfg to be the caregiver for his wife Debbie.
TJ is survived by his wife of 12 years: Debbie Minten; his mother: Jo Ott; sisters: Terry (Rick) Johnson, Toni (Pete) Baumann and Tracy (Paul) Springstroh; his brother: Tom Ott; mother-in-law: Janice Minten; sisters-in-law: Ellen (Jeff) Liethen, Kelly (Jim) Sanderfoot, and Lisa Vandehey; brother-in-law: Todd (Sarah) Minten; and special god children: Allison Johnson-Reinke and Matthew Baumann. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. TJ was preceded in death by his father: Ray Ott; his father-in-law: Eugene Minten; and his brother-in-law: Steve Vandehey.
TJ loved life, fishing, his carpentry projects, and building specialty cabinets for others. He loved the Packers, tailgating, John Deere tractors, his garden and trains. Most of all, he loved his family, special friends, and neighbors. His kind, soft heart allowed him to help anyone who needed him.
The Funeral Liturgy for TJ will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 20, 2018. at Holy Spirit Parish-Darboy Campus, W2806 County Road KK, Darboy, with Father Bob Kollath officiating. A time of visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Interment immediately to follow at Holy Angels Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wichmannfargo.com.
