Timothy J. DeBruin

Timothy J. DeBruin, age 64, passed away May 11, 2024, at his home in Appleton after a lengthy stuggle with renal failure. Tim was born on February 23, 1960, to Vern and Patricia (Chew) DeBruin in Appleton.  

Tim loved his cat, Heidi (because she hid all the time) and enjoyed snuggling with her. She loved to watch him ride his stationary bike and lay on his toilet paper packs.

He was a Wisconsin sports fanatic-and loved the Bucks, the Brewers and the Packers. He enjoyed going out for dinner with family and good friends Tammy, Debbie, Katie and Cora. He really enjoyed his friends, and they helped in so many ways.

Family was at the top of Tim’s list and to him, the center of his world. He spent hours talking with his siblings and they in turn spent hours ensuring he had the things he needed.  

Tim is survived by his siblings: Chris (Randy Shannon) DeBruin, of Grand Junction, CO, Cindi (Don) DeBruin, of Appleton and Tom (Cookie) DeBruin of Pittsburg, PA. In addition, he is survived by his cat, Heidi, many nieces, nephews, good friends and other family. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Paul DeBruin, and many other loved ones. 

A memorial service is being planned and Tim will be laid to rest near his parents at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton. Details for the service will be updated as they become available.

Special thanks to Tim’s niece and nephew Michael and Amy for the time they spent with him, and the love and support offered.

Also, thanks to the staff at Fresenius Dialysis Care for the years long caring of Tim to keep his system working.

The Celebration Of Life for Timothy J. De Bruin, who passed away on May 11, 2024, will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at 1:00 PM at the STAR OF HOPE CHAPEL in Highland Memorial Park, 3131 N Richmond St. Appleton. A celebration dinner will be held following the service
