Tim Johnson, age 67 of Appleton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening, April 11, 2018 at an Appleton hospital. Tim was born in Neenah on October 6, 1950, son of the late Dan and Mildred (Gray) Johnson. Most will remember Tim as an area realtor who enjoyed a successful career, first working with Otto and Joyce Bytof, and later Coldwell Banker. Beginning in 1973 and for many years to follow, he was a valued member of the team, often leading the group in annual sales. Years ago, Otto promised him an “office for life”, a gift that Tim treasured throughout his career. In 1987, Tim joined Anthony Robbins and for almost ten years was one of Tony’s most sought after speakers, and had given presentations in nearly every major city in the country. In 1994, he returned to the Valley to be near his children and to continue his career in real estate. Upon his return, he achieved the designation of Senior Associate with Coldwell Banker, and maintained that status until his retirement.
Tim appreciated the outdoors, and if he wasn’t working on building relationships with clients, you can bet he was taking a drive or a long walk.
Survivors include two children: Lisa Johnson and Christian Johnson, both of Appleton; his cherished granddaughter: Molly; his former wife: Kathy Johnson of Appleton; seven brothers and sisters: Larry (Lynn) Johnson, Connie (Stan) Suchta, Helen Gloudemans, Chuck (Jan) Johnson, Steve (Alize) Johnson, Scott (Charlene) Johnson, and Rick (Lisa) Johnson. There are also many treasured nieces and nephews, and Tim’s dear friends: Tracy and Cami Hanold and their family. Tim was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother Chris, a brother-in-law Ronald Gloudemans, and a great-nephew Carson.
In keeping with Tim’s wishes, a party will be held on Sunday, April 15, 2018 from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM in the Community Room at The Highlands at Mahler Park, located at 1555 Lyon Drive in Neenah. At 2:00 PM on Sunday, there will be a special tribute presentation, after which the party Tim requested will continue.
