Timothy Henry McDonald, 67 passed away on March 27th, 2022 at home in Greenville surrounded by his family. He was born on June 18th, 1954 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, the son of Gerald and Jane McDonald.
He met his soulmate Kathleen Rose Peterson at Appleton West High School and celebrated 50 years of love and 44 years of marriage in 2021. After graduating Fox Valley Technical College, they lived in San Diego for 6 months while Tim studied at the Jim Russell’s School of High-Performance Racing. Tim and Kathy traveled throughout the Midwest racing Formula Ford race cars. Even after retiring from racing, Tim lived life in the fast lane with the pedal to the metal.
Tim worked for Pierce Manufacturing for 32 years where he had a multitude of different positions, retiring as the Sales and Marketing Director of Fire and EMS Apparatus. By taking great pride in his career and providing for his family, he met many lifelong friends along the way.
Kathy and Tim built 4 houses together in the Fox Valley (Kathy’s passion) while building their family of two daughters, Kelly Ann Mischler (McDonald) and Kasey Jo McDonald. They loved to travel to warm climates making family memories. Kathy and Tim were in the Greenville area in their final retirement home and Fort Myers, FL as Snowbirds in the winter months.
Tim and Kathy belonged to a harbor in Winneconne, Wisconsin for many years where they met countless friends on the water. Tim’s great loves of his life were his family, The Beatles, and memories made in the sunshine.
Tim is survived by his wife Kathy McDonald; Daughters Kelly (Matt) Mischler, and Kasey McDonald; Siblings Tom McDonald, Mary McDonald, and Scott (Connie) McDonald; Nephew Ryan McDonald; Nieces Eryn McDonald and Niki Peterson; and Brother-in-law Jim Peterson.
Tim was proceeded by his parents, Jerry and Jane (Strey) McDonald and parents-in-law, Jack and Bev (McCrory) Peterson.
A celebration of life will be held at Holiday’s Pub and Grill (1395 W American Drive, Neenah, WI 54956) on Saturday April 2nd from 1-4 pm. Stories and remembrances of Tim will be shared at 1:30 pm. Please bring any written stories and photographs for the family memorial scrapbook. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Tim’s honor to St. Mary’s of the Immaculate Conception in Greenville, Wisconsin.
