On November 17, 1945, he married Myrtle Dell in Appleton. She preceded him in death in 1973. On June 29, 1974 he married Thelma Tate with whom he enjoyed 30 years of marriage. Operating a dump truck and a trash hauling endeavor sparked an interest in “old” things. His hobbies in retirement included restoring old furniture and being very handy at fixing things. He especially loved to fish on the Wolf River, where he had a trailer on the river at Guth’s Resort in Weyawega, and in the Langlade County Area.
Thomas is survived by his wife Thelma, three daughters: Connie Cook and her daughter Michelle (Alonzo) Laflore of Oshkosh, Betty Cook of La Crosse, Joyce (Dan) Graham and their children Katherine, Peter and Charlie of Independence, Missouri; six great grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild. Thomas is preceded in death by his brothers: Carlton, Stanley, Ralph and Russell; and sisters: Margaret Weimar and Evelyn Heck.
