Thomas V. Van Toll, age 48, of Kimberly, died peacefully, with his family at his side, Thursday morning, May 10, 2007. He was born July 5, 1958, to Gerald D. and Beverly W. Van Toll, in Kimberly, where he was a resident all of his life and graduated from Kimberly High School in 1977. Tom had been employed by Thilmany Pulp and Paper for 9 years, until ill health forced his retirement. He enjoyed building muscle cars, hunting, spending time at the cottage, boating, water skiing, but his family meant everything to him. Tom was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, Kimberly, where he was an usher and a catechist. He is survived by his wife, Kathy L. (Hennessey) Van Toll, whom he married June 1, 1984; four children, John Van Toll and his fiancee, Ann, Oshkosh; Judy Opsteen, Kimberly; Jerry Van Toll, Kimberly; Michael Van Toll, Kimberly; two grandchildren, Clayton and Mackenzi Opsteen; his parents, Gerald D. and Beverly W. Van Toll, Kimberly; his maternal grandmother, Lucina Wydeven, Kimberly; three sisters, Mary (Rick) Peters, Argonne; Kristine “Missy” (Dan) Van Berkel, Appleton; Katie (Mark) Maynard, Kimberly; his mother-in-law, Delores Hennessey, Kimberly; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bink Wydeven and his father-in-law, Ken Hennessey. The funeral liturgy for Thomas will be held at 12:00 pm, Monday, May 14, 2007, at Holy Spirit Parish, 600 East Kimberly Avenue, Kimberly, with Father Tom Pomeroy officiating. Burial will be in Holy Name Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 9:30 am, Monday until the time of the mass. A memorial fund is being established.
