Thomas Lee Ehlke, 70, of Appleton, WI was called home to heaven to be with his Savior on May 19, 2018 in Appleton.
Tom was born in New London, WI to Clarence and Elda (Leisering) Ehlke on April 4, 1948. He went to school at St. Paul Elementary School and graduated from Fox Valley Lutheran High School. He graduated college from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He worked as a Manager of Engineering for Thilmany Pulp and Paper for over 22 years. He married Joy Springstroh on June 13, 1970 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Appleton. He was involved in church work in many different ways and showed Christian love and concern to the people he met. Tom was a Packers' fan and loved fishing, spending many summer days up north with his family. Tom cared less about recognition and praise and more about expressing thankfulness for the ways the Lord blessed him. During difficult days, he continued to find comfort in knowing Jesus’ saving love and that he would continue to be with him always.
Tom is preceded in death by his wife, Joy; his parents, Clarence and Elda; and a brother-in-law Wally Weihing.
Tom is survived by his children, Scott (Kathie) Ehlke, Kevin (Stephanie) Ehlke, Mark (Mandy) Ehlke, Josh Ehlke, Brett (Lori) Ehlke; Siblings, Kathie Weihing, Bob (Judy) Ehlke, Don Ehlke; Grandchildren, Braden, Emma, Alex; Owen, Oliver, Simeon, Adeline; Melita, Amalie, Matthias; Ian, Aaron, Ella, Olivia.
