Age 64, passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2003, following a very brave battle with cancer. If his cancer were beatable, he would have won! Tom was born on November 12, 1938, in Tomahawk, WI, son of Dale and the late Ardel (Zuchowski) Budreau. He married Bonnie Douyette in Boulder Junction, WI, on January 21, 1961, and they have lived in Appleton all their married life. Tom worked as a machinist, estimator and production control for Appleton Machine, Hewitt Machine/KRC/Voith for 40 years, retiring in 2000. He enjoyed trap shooting around the state and in Florida, deer hunting and musky fishing in Vilas County, and watching his grandchildren at their sporting events.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Bonnie, two daughters, Debbie (Bill) Josephs; Renee Yahr; his grandchildren, Bryan and Bradley Josephs, Corey and Kayla Yahr, all of Appleton. Other survivors include his father Dale (Marge) Budreau, Minnesota; sister Mary (Gary) Mueller, Wausau, brother Jerry Budreau, Wausau, and sister-in-law, Donna Morehouse, Florida. Tom was preceded in death by his mother, Ardel, and in-laws, Norman and Gladys Douyette.
Funeral services will be at St. James United Methodist Church, 100 W. Capitol Drive, Appleton, on Saturday, June 21, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Donna Miller officiating. Burial will be in Appleton Highland Memorial Park. Friends may visit the church beginning at 9:00 a.m. A memorial fund has been established.
