Tom Trader, age 53, died Friday, November 3, 2006 at Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah. Tom was born in Appleton on February 2, 1953, son of the late Lawrence and Genevieve (Terzynski) Trader. On August 20, 1982, he married the former Royalene Steeves; she survives. For some twenty years, Tom had been employed as a carpenter at Wiegand Lumber in Menasha. Ill health forced his retirement in 1991. He enjoyed working with wood, and will be remembered as a guy who could fix just about anything.
He is survived by his wife: Royalene Trader; two children: Edward Trader and Jonelle Trader; three sisters: Marilyn (Dave) Arndt, Sharon (Dennis) LaCount, and Janie (Glen) VandenWyngaard; two brothers: John (Trudi) Trader and Wayne Trader; and a brother-in-law: Al Gasper. Other survivors include Royalene’s parents: John and Pauline Steeves, as well as her brothers and sisters: Katherine (Eugene) Wurzer, David (Beth) Steeves, Rebecca (Steve) Holcombe, Andrew Steeves, Paul (Sandy) Steeves, Jeanette Steeves, and Nathan (Katharine) Steeves. He also leaves behind nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Joanne Gasper, brothers Jerome and Joey Trader, and by an infant brother Michael.
A memorial service for Tom will be held at 7:00 PM Monday at the Wichmann Funeral Home, 3212 S. Oneida Street in the town of Menasha. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 5:00 PM until the hour of the service.
