Theresa A Dorvinen

Theresa Dorvinen, native of Chassell, MI, residing in Appleton, WI, passed away Friday, Feb 24, 2017, after a brief battle with cancer. She was born on September 7, 1959 in Evergreen Park, IL, to Agnes and Wilmer Dorvinen. During her lifetime she worked at Kmart, Walmart and most recently Alta Resources in Neenah, WI. She has also lived in Green Bay, WI; Salem, VA; Bountiful, UT and Appleton, WI. She loved crafting, sewing, painting, gardening and being with her family and friends, especially her 8 favorite nieces.

She is survived by her 9 siblings; Michael Dorvinen, Cheryl (Lloyd) Abdelnour, Jacalyn (David) Strong, Joseph (Kathleen) Dorvinen, Cynthia Dorvinen, Thomas Dorvinen, Kathleen (Michael) Bradley, Nannetta (Jerry) Daniels and Christine (Kendall) Fisher, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by both parents.

Theresa and her family would like to thank all the nurses and doctors at ThedaCare Neenah and Appleton for their excellent care and support. Special thanks to the nurses on the Oncology floor at ThedaCare Appleton we couldn't have gotten through this without your support. We would also like to thank her friends and her Brothers and Sisters of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for their kindness and support.

Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 28th, 2017 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 425 W Park Ridge Ave, Appleton, WI. Burial will be held in Oskar Cemetery in the Upper Peninsula at a later date.
