“Ted”
Age 86, passed away at Weyauwega Health Center on Friday, May 13, 2005 following a short illness. He was born on January 4, 1919 in Little Chute the son of the late Anton and Lucy (Van Dun) Ermers. Ted loved music and dancing, played the keyboard, he was a faithful volunteer for St. Vincent DePaul and was known for his sense of humor and unusual quips. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II in the 101st Airborne and was in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of the American Legion Post 247 of Little Chute.
He is survived by his sisters: Mary Hein, and Dorothy (Donald) Peerenboom both of Appleton, Ella (Reg) Ahrens of Kimberly; two brothers: Frank (Carrie) Ermers and George (Erla) Ermers all of Appleton; a sister-in-law Esther Ermers of Kimberly; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Martin, Tony, John, and Albert; and sisters Mary and Theresa as infants.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Monday, May 16, 2005 at 4:00 PM at Holy Spirit Parish-Kimberly Campus with the Rev. Tom Pomeroy officiating. Entombment will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton. Friends may call at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Kimberly from 3:00 PM until the time of the Mass. A memorial fund is being established.
Ted’s family wishes to especially thank Dr. Frank and Jo Van Lieshout for all of the kindness and time they had for Ted.
