Van Handel, Theodore A. “Ted”
Theodore A. Van Handel, age 98, of Kimberly, passed away Tuesday afternoon, May 6, 2008. He was born March 19, 1910, to the late Arnold and Helena (Williamsen) Van Handel, in the town of Vandenbroek and prior to moving to Kimberly in 1960 he was a resident of Appleton. Ted had been employed by the Chicago Northwestern Rail Road for over 30 years in track maintenance. He was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, Kimberly. Ted is survived by his son, Eugene (Geraldine) Van Handel, Appleton; two grandsons, Dean (Dawna) Van Handel, Appleton; Darin (Valerie) Van Handel, Little Chute; four great grandchildren, Rayna, Dustin, Logan and Brodie; two sisters, Gertrude Verkuilen, Neenah; Margaret Phillips, Weyauwega. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth in 1976 and 10 brothers and sisters. The funeral liturgy for Theodore will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, May 10, 2008, at Holy Spirit Parish, 600 East Kimberly Avenue, Kimberly, with Father David Beaudry officiating. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Friends may call at the church on Saturday, from 9:00 am until the time of the mass. A memorial fund is being established.
The family would like to thank the staff of Kindred Hearts, especially Sharon and the staffs of Parkside Care Center and St. Elizabeth Hospital.
