Lorraine “Tatie” (Gracyalna) Wieseler, 88, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2015 at Appleton Medical Center. She was born on October 20, 1926 to Michael and Alma (Klitzke) Gracyalna of Menasha. Tatie graduated from Menasha High School and then married Robert “Bud” Wieseler on June 13, 1946.
Tatie was an active member of Holy Cross parish in Kaukauna where she enjoyed singing in the choir and in nursing homes around the area. Tatie also served on the Board of Commissioners for the Kaukauna Housing Authority. Her love of quilting was evidenced in her years of creativity with a wonderful group of quilting friends. Tatie was fortunate to remain in her home for over 65 years surrounded by caring neighbors, great friends, and much support from her daughter Janet.
Tatie is survived by her children; Sandi (Terry) McCarty, Lynn, Tom (Patty) and Janet. She is also survived by five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and her sister Donna Verhagen.
Tatie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bud, brothers; Harry and George, sisters; Sophie, Lucy, Rosie, Ruthie, Millie, and Betty.
The funeral liturgy for Tatie will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 10:00 AM at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer St., with Fr. Tom Pomeroy officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to support the music resources at Holy Cross Parish.
