Susan Marie Jenkins (Trunk) passed away unexpectedly on September 2, 2021. She was born March 1, 1959 in Appleton, WI daughter to the late Werner and Mildred Trunk (Kahler). Sue married her best friend, Eugene Jenkins on October 6, 1979. Together, they built a life and family in Kaukauna, WI over the course of over 41 years of marriage.
Those who got to know Susan were touched by her kind heart. She lived each day selflessly and in pursuit of making those in her life happy. Her favorite things were her trips to Door County with Gene, spending time with her sisters, gardening, and supporting her sons and grandchildren. She was their biggest fan and you could hear her cheering from the start to the end.
Susan claimed a drive to Sonny’s Pizza was always worth the time and miles for pizza and to enjoy a glass of red wine or whiskey old fashioned press with cherries and cherry juice. She insisted on finding gifts that were heartfelt to spoil her kids and grandkids with every holiday and birthday. Although she loved her four sons, Sue always wanted a daughter so when she was blessed with three daughters-in-law and two granddaughters, she was overjoyed. She loved all of them as her own.
Sue is survived by her husband, Gene, her sons: Matthew (Meagan) Jenkins, Christopher Jenkins, Patrick (Brianna) Jenkins, and Michael (Jacqui) Jenkins; grandchildren: Owen, Isabelle, Nolan, Brayden, and Nora; sisters: Deb (Steve) Depner, Patricia Trunk, and Lori Van Handel. Sue was preceded in death by her parents, two angel babies, brothers Mark and Mike Trunk, brother-in[1]law Jerry (Lori) Van Handel, father-in-law Clyde Jenkins and mother-in-law Marcella Jenkins.
Funeral services will be held at Wichmann Fargo Funeral Home in Appleton on Wednesday, September 8 with visitation from 4-7pm and service to follow.
