Susan Marie Gerhardt

Susan M. Gerhardt, 68, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. She was born on February 1, 1956, in Appleton, the twelfth child of Albert George and Sara Marie (Shock) Gerhardt.

Susan graduated from Appleton East High School in 1974 and was employed with Appleton Papers for 33 years as a forklift driver. She loved animals, especially her dog Mayhem, gardening, spending time outdoors or with family and friends. Susan will be remembered most for being a simple person who was kind and charitable to others.

Susan is survived by her 8 siblings: Roger (June) Gerhardt, Steve (Irene) Gerhardt, John (Alice) Gerhardt, Mary Bliven, Sally Schreiber, Ann (Jack) Knaack, Tony Gerhardt, Rita (Mark) Thiel; sister-in-law: Kris Gerhardt; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents, 3 siblings: Joan (Charlie) Ward, Bill Gerhardt, and Jeanie (Michael) St. Peter.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Susan’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to her niece Dawn and friends, Amy, Cora, Cookie, and Ann for their care, compassion, kindness, and assistance with Susan’s final days.
